Aliona Stratan is the First Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board of maib, the largest bank in Moldova and a Member of the Supervisory Board of Armenian Institute of Directors. Her experience in maib began in December 2018, when she became an Independent Member of the Supervisory Board.
Mrs Stratan has almost 20 years of experience in top management positions in the banking system of Moldova, Georgia, and Armenia. From November 2018 until June 2021, Mrs Stratan has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IMON international (Tajikistan). At the moment she is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of maib leasing, is a member of the Board in AmCham Moldova, and the Armenian Institute of Independent Directors. Mrs Stratan graduated from the State Agrarian University of Moldova (B.A., Economics) and has a Ph.D. in Economics and Management, and an MBA in Global Management from Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Moreover, she is certified in Digital Business Transformation Management (CXO transform). Among her personal qualifications, Mrs Stratan stands out as a highly experienced professional in risk management, business development, and transformation management with a proven ability to lead different teams and manage complex projects with various stakeholders.
