BOARD MEMBERS OF THE CHAPTER ZERO UKRAINE & CAUCASUS ARE WORKING ON IMPROVING KPIs FOR ITS MEMBERS

10 August 2023

On August 10th, Board Members of the Chapter Zero: Ukraine&Caucasus approved the key operational priorities and the preliminary concept of events for its NEDs until the end of 2023.

The concept of the event dedicated to the first anniversary of Chapter Zero: Ukraine&Caucasus, which will take place on September 20, 2023, caused an especially lively discussion. The first anniversary is very important event, so the Board unanimously decided to approach its organization in the most responsible manner and agreed on the participation of a specially invited guest.

The second most significant this year’s event will be the participation of representatives and members of Chapter Zero: Ukraine&Caucasus in the world’s largest conference on climate change, COP28, which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Board is convinced that: “It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the COP for non-executive directors, because this conference dictates the climate trends that will be relevant for states and businesses during the whole year. Every year, the government and business commitments made at the COP become more and more ambitious, so it is critical for non-executive directors to keep up with the current development trajectory of their country. That is why the Board and Secretariat of Chapter Zero: Ukraine&Caucasus will continue to closely monitor the latest updates from conference field in order to continue to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information and recommendations regarding the integration of those climate and nature-related policies into Ukrainian, Georgian and Armenian business that will be approved by this year’s conference.”

The separate issues of the meeting were the development of the membership/partner base, ways of guaranteeing the balance of interests between Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia, the potential possibility of holding an offline event in one of the three countries of the Chapter, and the key KPIs that it can offer to its members. Important attention was also devoted to ways of resolving the modern challenges faced by the team during the first year of the Сhapter’s existence.

Finally, the Board members paid attention to the preliminary operation priorities of Chapter Zero: Ukraine&Caucasus for 2024, but their official adoption and announcement will take place in December 2023.
