Olena Rybak has been the Managing Director of an Austrian engineering company iC consulenten in Ukraine since 2013. In Ukraine the company mainly works in consulting projects with international or public financing focused on sustainable development, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and transport infrastructure.

The sectors of activity include infrastructure rehabilitation and construction, thermal modernization of public buildings, certification in accordance with “green” standards, as well as hazardous waste abatement.

Olena`s experience in consulting includes projects for the EBRD, dena (German Energy Agency), GIZ, UNIDO, European Commission, NEFCO, EIB, Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute etc.

Olena works with gender mainstreaming topic and acts as a Gender Consultant, also in the EBRD projects.

Before iC Olena was the Director of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA). Under Olean’s leadership EUEA became a leading platform for the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy markets, working on sustainable development of Ukraine.

Since 2013, Olena has been a Board Member of EUEA.

Olena holds a Professional MBA in Energy Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Business Administration degree from International Christian University-Kyiv and is an alumna of several international exchange and leadership programmes.
